Crab Spider - Misumena vatia

    Family - Thomisidae
    Genus - Misumena
    Single UK species.
    A rather pretty Crab Spider. They sit in Flowers and ambush visiting insects.
    They are able to slowly change colour, depending on which flower they inhabit.

    Gorgeous photos, as always! I especially love the first one.

    I've caught a crab spider (different species than this) before but didn't know what it was. It was white. And I'm stateside.
